Customize Top And Footer PrestaShop Menu
Every store ships with its layout, so modifying the default PrestaShop menu is something I would call a “must-have” task to do.
This article will show you how to adjust your header and footer links in the PrestaShop store you own.
How To Manage PrestaShop Top Menu
You can change links in your theme top menu by going to the back office → Module Manager and searching for the “menu” addon. It will be named “Main menu.”
Click Configure button to manage the menu.
On the right side of this page, you will see the entire PrestaShop sitemap. If the pages you want to add can be found in that list - use it. PrestaShop will map chosen menu items. If you change the title for a selected page - it will be updated automatically.
How To Add New Menu Items To PrestaShop Top Menu
In the back-office Module Manager Main Menu addon settings, you can find the “Add a new link” block. Use this block to create new menu items.
You don’t need to write protocol and domain (
https://your-site.com), instead just use part of the URL:
Be sure to provide URL protocol: “HTTPS://” (always recommended) or “HTTPS://” when linking to other domains. For example, do not just write
www.example.org as it will be unclickable.
And if you are using other domains, select the toggle of
New window input to YES. Without this option, uses might not come back to your store and navigate somewhere else.
How To Edit Links In PrestaShop Footer Menu
In the back-office → Module Manager → Link List addon, you can configure links that you see in the footer.
