PrestaShop GDPR - Everything You Have To Know
PrestaShop has an official GDPR support addon, so you don’t need to buy anything to comply with the law.
Some things might be worth knowing before you jump-start with your store.

PrestaShop GDPR Configuration
In the back office, click Modules → Module Manager and find the Official GDPR compliance
addon. Next, click the big Configure button to explore available GDPR settings.

A list of all GDPR compliant addons can be found at the Personal data management
tab.

In the same tab, you will see the Manage customer's data
block. By entering an email address to this input, you receive the list of all user data known to PrestaShop or its plugins.

On a special request to delete the account and all information about the user, you can head into this section and click the Remove data
button.

On the next tab of Consent checkbox customization,
you can update the copy for all the notifications about privacy in your store.

A tab, Customer activity tracking,
shows any data removal or preview requests from your store users.

How GDPR Applies To PrestaShop
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR in short) is an EU law that regulates how institutions and businesses can use personal data in Europe.
It was launched on May 25th, 2018, applicable for all companies residing within the European Union unless they are exempted.
As a company that does business in the EU, you are responsible for ensuring compliance with GDPR.
Suppose you collect any personal data from an individual residing in the European Union. In that case, that person must be given information about how their data will be used.
